How to Take Care of Your Skylights

  • Inspect – We encourage you to get your skylights inspected at least once a year. Our team will check the condition of every part of the skylight and the roof around it to make sure there are no issues—or, if we find any problems, we’ll take care of them before they get worse. In addition, keep an eye on your skylight from indoors. If you see brown patches appear in the glass, then you likely have a leak.
  • Clean – To keep your skylights in good condition, you will also need to keep them clean. To clean the interior side of the skylight, carefully position a ladder underneath the window and use mild soap and water to wash the glass. Follow up with a glass cleaner and a clean cloth to get rid of streaks. Make sure to also wash the frame. Our team can clean the exterior of your skylights as we inspect them.
  • Repair – If you notice any issues with your skylights, such as brown spots or cloudiness in the glass, then you should call our team right away to schedule repairs. We have the right experience to figure out exactly what’s wrong and to provide the reliable solutions you need.
